About Louise

Louise Coultas Pitman is the former owner of The Cracked Pot Flower Boutique shop in Ealing, West London, a  beautiful vintage flower shop where Louise spent 20 years building her business and brand. Using her vast experience she continues to grow the online Boutique.

Louise took the decision to close her retail shop for the freedom and scope of the freelance world of Floristry. She now works from her fabulous light and airy home studio, looking out onto the garden. She finds the freedom of working from home allows her to build on her passion for flowers and now without the daily demands of a busy shop, has more time to spend at the flower markets breathing in the sights and sounds as well as  the scents.  Louise says “I’ve rediscovered my passion for the flowers and the customers. With the burning desire to create beautiful and bespoke arrangements for my clients, I find myself getting lost in the flowers and creating arrangements in my head as I take in the incredible colours  the world of flowers has to offer”  Each and every bouquet is made by Louise personally with incredible attention to detail.

Each bouquet is a very personal creation, like an artist, painting a unique picture, for each customer”

“My aim is to build a client base that can rely on me to design and produce fabulous bouquets, with attention to detail and a very personal touch.”

From initial order to delivery, it’s personal!”

Louise feels so passionate about her craft that she’s very keen to share it with others and has set up a variety of workshops to share her knowledge.

Louise’s home studio also offers a  fabulous setting in which to discuss all your wedding day ideas, whether you’ve been planning them in your head since you were young or looking for inspiration.

A stack of stunning portfolios, flower magazines galore, and 20 years of creative design experience to call on will be available to help create a wedding day to remember. A warm and friendly welcome awaits and from design to delivery you’re in very safe hands.

Louise says...

Louise Coultas PitmanWeddings flowers are my passion, and I have great enthusiasm and a burning desire to design beautiful Wedding Flowers and create stunning floral memories for my Brides.

With my dedicated team, we thrive on putting our design and floristry skills into action in order to create stunning floral arrangements and bridal bouquets to complete the dream package for all our wonderful brides to be.

I don’t know quite what it is about creating wedding flowers that gives me such a sense of fulfillment.  I guess it’s just everything coming together after all the weeks and months of preparation and design decisions.

In her words…

I set up The Cracked Pot Flower Boutique in July 1997 after returning from a few years working out in Dubai as a PR Manager for a large 5 star Hotel. Bursting with creativity and a strong desire “not to do the daily trek on the tube”, I looked to my home town of Ealing to start my own business. With a fabulous local Florist due to relocate to Norwich, I saw my opportunity.

After doing my stint as a saturday girl to make sure I was going to like it, I soon started full time, working, with the then owner, to learn as much as I could, ready to take over.   One month later I was standing in my very own Flower Shop.

I had a massive desire to provide the most beautiful flowers to the local community. Sourcing the loveliest of flowers, bringing in unusual colours, textures and new varieties of flowers from all over the world. Combining these with fabulous wrapping and extra little touches to create the most gorgeous gift bouquets.

With Weddings being my big passion, I booked myself on to a one to one Wedding Course with Constance Spy and emerged with enthusiasm and a burning desire to design beautiful Wedding Flowers and create stunning floral memories for my Brides.

Louise with her sonWe have well over 400 Weddings to our name now and it continues to be a major passion of mine and we regularly feature in Wedding Flower Magazine and are on the list of preferred florist at my most favourite wedding venue, Syon Park, where I also got married myself!

We also continue to design fabulous gift bouquets and now offer free delivery, locally.  We are very much in control of the flowers that our customers receive.

I also have a very strong desire to offer beautiful and fitting funeral tributes and Sympathy bouquets. I believe it’s one of the most important floral purchases you can make and it’s our duty to ensure that you parting message is received in the most wonderful way.

Thank you for reading this far and for choosing the Cracked Pot Flower Boutique for your flowers, whatever the occasion we hope you are thrilled with your choice.
